It is an auxiliary tax document, being only a summarized and simplified graphic representation of a transaction that has been backed by an FE.
The CAFE can be delivered to the recipient printed on paper or sent in electronic format.
If you request it in CAFE, the merchant is required to print it, but if you want to provide your email address, the merchant will send it to you.
What is the Auxiliary Electronic Invoice Receipt (CAFE) for?
- It serves as physical proof of a transaction backed by an FE.
- It serves as a supporting document for recipients not affiliated with the Electronic Invoicing (FE) system to back up their tax credits.
- The CAFE facilitates consultation of the FE on the website of the General Revenue Directorate (DGI).
